As you can guess from the declining number of uploads, I have shifted my swinging pendulum further and further away from deviantArt. So I thought it better to come bid farewell at least, as personal morals demand.
It was to come, I knew; it's hard to have something naturally unchanged throughout 3 and a half years (I've been counting my days). Then that, now this; then that...I've taken joy and, at points, indulgence over what dA has to offer me; for those that became rather despicable, I shun them. The site is remarkable for its vast network that covers more peoples (peoples, not people) in the world than any other. But for that it's flooded, with the stale water that remains and wills not flow anywhere. Now there're probably more deviations from what are promoted by the deviations belonging to deviantART. That's what made me reluctant to return.
Sometimes having learned another thing makes you look back in time and laugh at what you see, but even now, I wouldn't renounce a single bit of what I did to dA and it me; nor can I say that dA meant everything to me - I do not create art for dA. So now that inspirations are taken up less often on my cause, I've decided to put down the frame that has taken care of some of my good works.
If you are, don't get discouraged by this rambling. My words: believe in yourself and do what's right for the world. I believed it, still do, and will always. If you keep that in mind, then you'll have better peace, whether through dA or not. To my friends reading this, find your own star and follow it down the path, maybe ours trails will cross and we'll meet one day.
To wrap up, I leave my site the way it is as a testimony to the goods of dA. If you're just a passerby, take a look too at what some of my friends have to share with you.
Farewell,
Alex
